THE Youth Alliance Movement of Nigeria, South-west zone,  on Saturday in Lagos outlined what could be described as a 30-point agenda for the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, who is expected to take over the nation’s governance on May 29.

Speaking during a youth conference held in Iju, Lagos, Akanni Micheal, national president of the group, said that fostering participatory governance at the grassroots, 30 per cent affirmative action for youth participation in governance at all levels, appointment young persons below the 40 years as the youth minister and state youth commissioners, and strengthening grassroots decision–making structures.

Others include empowering citizens to engage with grassroots structures, promoting civic education, strengthening all strata of government’s capacity to serve their constituencies through the capacity building and training of Counsellors, House of Assembly members, House of Representative members and Senators and strengthening youth focused committees, among others.
