Niger State government on Tuesday, July 2 said it was yet to receive any financial support or ‘Bailout’ as directed by the Presidency to enable the administration pay workers’ salaries and as well meet other numerous financial obligations.

The state governments’ clarifications is coming against the backdrop of claims by adjourning communities to Minna, the state capital, that the APC government is not paying attention to the challenges they face as they are almost cut off by the deplorable road condition transporting farm produce into the metropolis.

Also some contractors who have completed contracts awarded by the immediate past administration of Dr. Babangida Aliyu alleged that the government despite collecting the bailout from Abuja has refused to pay their monies.

Ibrahim Ketso, a farmer from Shaanu village had told our correspondent the deplorable condition of road linking the community and Minna metropolis and the challenges they face transporting farm produce to the state capital and Abuja.

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Ibraheem Dooba, Governor Sani Bello said he is not unaware of the needs of citizenry and solicited for their understanding as his administration is trying all possible best to ensure that developments spreads across all the three senatorial zones.
