Glo Premier League hos

tilities will continue this weekend at the Warri Township Stadium as Wolves lay ambush for El Kanemi in one of the rescheduled Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) games.

The match no doubt will determine Elkanemi current form in the Federation Cup as the Warri side is eager to garner points on the league table to be in the title race.

In the same vein, Wolves would want to consolidate on its Week 19 home victory over Sharks of Port Harcourt, while El Kanemi would want to avoid another defeat having lost 2-1 to Shooting Stars of Ibadan also at Week 19.

At the moment, Wolves frontline seemed to be very potent with the combination of Sikiru Alimi, Abu Azeez and Gbolahon Salami which has been paying off in recent times.

Against Sharks in Week 19 encounter, it was Alimi and Azeez that gave Wolves the maximum points and against Enyimba in Week 18, it was Salami and Azeez that ended Enyimba 9-match unbeaten run in Warri.

To this end, Wolves coach, Paul Aigbogun, would have no choice than to maintain the formation ostensibly to achieve the desired result at the end of the day.

For the Maiduguri side, not much is known of the team’s tactical strength since the exit of the Technical Adviser, Salisu Yesuf who is now with the Super Eagles, but the team has made some commendable improvement qualifying for the quarter finals of the 2015 Federation Cup.

However, Wolves would be making a very big mistake if El Kanemi is underrated as the present NPFL seemed to have overcome “win at home syndrome.”
