Wike Assures On Provision Of Infrastructure In Rivers

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has stated that the people of the state should expect better infrastructural development during the dry season, saying that his administration will consolidate on the infrastructural successes of the rainy season.

Governor Wike who spoke during an inspection tour of project sites in Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt LGAS stated that the revival of the infrastructural framework of the state has been carefully planned to cover all seasons of the year.

In a statement issued by Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media, Governor Wike stated that his administration is committed to using infrastructural development to further develop the economy of the state.

Governor Wike told journalists that the quality of work executed by the first class construction giants engaged by his administration during the rainy season has proved that with the right funding and monitoring, more mileage will be attained in the course of the dry season.

He said, “ I assure the people of Rivers State that this administration working closely with the construction giants will maximise the dry season in terms of project execution.

“This administration will never be impeded by the elements. Our commitment to developing infrastructure remains unshaken. We ensured construction of roads during the rainy season because we planned ahead for it. We have also planned for the forthcoming dry season”.

He assured the people of Rivers State that he would sustain his superlative revival of decayed infrastructure in the state through prudent management of scarce resources.

Wike said that he is further inspired by the positive response of the ordinary people on the streets of the state who appreciate the good works of his administration.
