A cleric, Rev. Ernest Uzoho has linked the problems of Nigeria to the wrong way of doing things.

Speaking recently at the Word Exploits Assembly, Akute, he maintained that Nigeria needed a thorough rebirth at 56 coupled with the address of foundational and structural defects for things to work out.

“We need a thorough rebirth. Our problem in Nigeria is not leadership. If you go through the history of Nigeria we have had wonderful leaders, some were revolutionaries like Murtala Mohammed.

“We had people that came and made war, we had people that came to invest in one thing or the other but where did it lead us? We need a thorough rebirth Nigeria; we need to address the issue of its foundation and its structure.

“It is in the hand of the legislature. It is not in the hand of the Presidency. This same legislature if they will be willing. When I talk about legislatures I am not talking about the ones there. If they will be willing to give us a new platform,” Uzoho said.

Speaking further he stated thus: “You know why Nigeria is not working? It is not approaching things the right way and we are programming our system to fail and we keep on talking change the leaders, change the leaders and same thing is happening over again.

“We need to discuss some things in the national conference so no part of Nigeria would feel any kind of injustice, no part will feel they are sidelined and no part of the country will say they are not part of the show then any leader that comes up even if immature or inexperience the leader will do well because the system has been programmed to make them fulfill.”
