According to Abubakar, the wife had earlier reported at Kawo Police station that her husband was threatening her life and that of the children.

He said that by the time the team of Police got to the house, it was under key and lock which made them contact the Mai Angwan, who later supported forceful opening of the entrance door before they saw the six of them in their own pool of blood.
