Why I Sponsored VCN Tourney-Victor

Chairman of VCN Sports International Limited, Nwaribeaku Victor has explained why he sponsoring ongoing U-15 VCN Football Competition.

The annual football competition is taking place at Oshodi Sports Centre, Lagos.

Victor told Journalists in Lagos that sponsoring a competition of this magnitude is borne out of passion he has for the round leather game. Secondly, he also wants to give back to society as part of his contribution to football development in Lagos State.

“A lot of people have asked me what do I want to gain from this competition, I said my joy is to help the kids who have football talents and also to ensure that some these talented kids come to limelight. I am happy today that the competition is waxing strong and I will continue to sponsor the tournament in years to come,” he said.

He davised the players to marry education with football so that by the time they retire from the round leather game, they will have something to fall back on.

He explained that many Nigerian footballers today are not educated which is very unfortunate and called one coaches to always educate their players the importance of education.

In the matches played last weekend, Christ Embassy lost 0-1 to Fortune FC,Smart Strikers beat Diamond Star 2-1, 36 Lion beat Gtreat Soccer 1-0, FC Success humbled PM Sports 3-0, Tao FC thrashed Oroge FC 3-0, while FA Bora beat Nero Boys 3-2.

The quarter final matches will begin this weekend.
