When C&S Built House For God In Anambra Community

It was not only amazingly remarkable, it was also awesome that such a little group of worshippers under the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Umuike Branch known as Mount Horeb gathered together and raised funds to build a Church for God.

Nobody gave them a chance but the Leader of the sect in Umuike, Senior Apostle Charles .O. Onyechi, a dogged evangelist and crusader of the gospel took up the challenge as his last duty to God having stayed over 70 years on the planet earth.

Senior Apostle Onyechi, a retired police officer mobilised friends and well wishers to assist him uplift God’s worship place. They answered him and embarrassed him with their support.

That is the best way to describe the launching of the New Church building of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim.

The Chief Launcher, Chief Sir Nnebe Ogwugua shocked the congregation with his large hearted donations for the building of the Church of God when he announced a donation of 1,000 blocks and huge cash with a promise to continue to support until the house is completed before the end of the year.

Chief Ogwugua thanked God the building was moving unexpectedly and that motivated many others who attended the event to contribute to the building of God’s house.

Even Muslims and other religious groups were in attendance to give solidarity in true ecumenism as the Secretary of Muslim Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Sani Ejo; Priest in charge of St Andrews Anglican Church Umuike, Prince Namso Nwafor-Orizu, Chairman Taskforce on Anambra petrol among others donated.

The Secretary of Awka Province of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim , Senior Apostle Dave Onuoha said that building a Church of worship should not be by coercion but willingly hence they were elated the Chief Launcher , Chief Ogwugua gracefully accepted to leading the pack to build for God.

He urged Christians all over the world not to wait to be enticed to support God’s work, but to willingly support in the propagation of the gospel, knowing that God’s blessings knows no bounds.

In attendance included the Permanent Secretary , Special Duties Anambra state, Elder  Udo Anthony, who  was the chairman on the occasion; Chairman of Awka Province, Elder Dr Chidi Anagor, a Special Senior Apostle ; Army Chief Onitsha Province, of the National Army of Salvation Band , Chukwurah ThankGod;  Army General Awka province Ikenna Obiudu; Architect Dom Ihijika who drew the building plan and former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development , Dr Mrs Henrietta Agbata represented her husband Prof Agbata as well as Presidential Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan , Senator Ben Ndi-Obi represented by Obiorah Ezenagu among others.

Five Districts of the Church from Mgbakwu in Awka North, Nibo in Awka South as well as Amudo, Awka , Urban and Victory contributed immensely too as well as all those mentioned above that attended.

In appreciation, the officer in charge of Mount Orebe , of the Cherubim and Seraphim , Umuike branch, Senior Apostle Charles .O. Onyechi praised God for the good weather and His grace to make the efforts worthwhile and urged Governor Willie Obiano, former Governor Chris Ngige, OON among other  distinguished  citizens of Anambra state to assist him build a church for God.

Onyechi said: “If I die tomorrow, I am fulfilled because I have done my promise to God by this singular act.”

In an interview, the Army General Awka Province of the Church, Ikenna Obiudu prayed those who pledged redeem their pledge as the Senior Apostle Onyechi is dedicated and committed to completing the Church before the end of the year.

The stimulating band group of the Church set the mood cheerful and merry.
