We’ve Located Chibok Girls, Says Nigeria Army

The Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Leo Irabor has said that the abducted Chibok girls are being held in Sambisa forest and that his men and officers are heading there to free them. He said also that some of the girls are being held in a location close to the Chad-Niger border.

“We think, from the intelligence available to us, that the remaining areas that we are working to move into, that are where we are hoping to be able to rescue the Chibok girls.”

The Commander maintained that while his forces advance in the Sambisa Forest, they are also running down other leads on the whereabouts of the Chibok girls.

“It’s a belief, but beyond that, we’re also getting some intelligence that they may be somewhere on the Niger-Lake Chad border areas,” he said.

Irabor who spoke in a CNN report on the ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations by the Nigerian military said that the intelligence surrounding the current location of the Chibok girls points to the Sambisa corridor, adding that there is need for more international support.

“The question of the Chibok girls remains a sore point in our history. The biometrics as it were of the Chibok girls are not known to us. Those are the issues which I believe are among the challenges.

The Commander assured that the military is working assiduously to ensure the rescue and safe return of the girls back to their families, saying: “we are working assiduously so that all of them are rescued and brought back to live in their communities.

“I think that the light is beginning to shine and in a short while we’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Irabor said.

It has occurred to me that the Nigerian Military is not as tough as they seems to show the world they are. How can a reneged bunch of uneducated marauding cow herding band of guys fight so well that the mighty warriors of the West Africa can even defeat. They have bigger guns than the intimidating Nigerian forces has.  My views in this episode is that the leadership of the Armed Forces is so out of focus their mentality is flawed.  The first war Nigeria ever internally was the Biafran. The military mentality of civilized warfare has never been introduced in their doctrine of military code. Nigerian military has no accountability, it’s shameful, because our past is catching up with us in the most worst way it can..At the end of Nigerian and Biafran conflict, with the Biafran surrendering to the Nigerian Armed Forces.. Many civilians where butchered by the liberating forces, it was unbelievable. Men where rounded up and shot to death.. Every single veteran of that war from the Northern Nigeria has blood on their hands…Nigerian have seen death so much, I think they are now immune to see death…The whole empire of the military of the northern officers needs to be eradicated by a constitutional amendment…Why would any one live in their own country and they are afraid of the military and the police….Everywhere you go men have to be afraid of these guys in uniform whom are paid to protect them but, instead they use these uniform to intimidate and  extort money from people trying to make ends meet…Now that’s shameful…..Now back to the genesis to the reason I a m  writing this story. Nigeria Armed Forces claimed to have located the CHIBOK GIRLS, how can you announce a location and don’t announce a rescue, is this suppose to lighten up the hope of their parents who have been waiting for your missions for the past years, that you want them to thank for a mission not completed.  Bring the girls back and stop giving these parents faults hopes.. this is tuture>>>>>>>>
