Governorship candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Dr. Osmond Imo Ukanacho, and the entire party leadership in Imo State have stormed Ikeduru Local Government area where they promised to make the state greater than ever.

At a mega rally held at Iho Primary School on the Owerri-Okigwe highway, Ukanacho assured that his election as Governor of Imo State come April 11 would put a stop to bad governance, favouritism and political oppression in the Eastern Heartland.

The candidate assured that free education in the state which his administration would sustain shall be more comprehensive and of good quality.

He decried the state of roads in Ikeduru and urged all in the area to say no to the old brigade who have kept the area stagnant over the years, adding that it was the only way to fix the roads in Ikeduru among other basic amenities.

The rally, which was attended by well over 5,000 persons, almost grounded the economic activities and vehicular  movements in the area, as most vehicles were diverted into villages as the only way out.

Chairman of UPP in Imo State, John Egbuchulam, BoT Chairman of the party, Chief Amah Iwueze, among other top party stalwarts also received a top leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikeduru, Chief John Nwaike, and his supporters into the UPP family.
