Part of the reasons they said were his effective implementation of the SMART Agenda, prudent management of the state resources and his commitment and responsibilities on of issues concerning Delta State.

While congratulating the governor for his success and achievements, the groups in the communiqué condemned Comrade Adams Oshiomole, the governor of Edo State, for his allegation against Governor Okowa whom he accused of mobilising thugs from Delta State to disrupt the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Edo State.

They described Governor Okowa as a promoter of peace and democracy.
