Unilag Honours The Nation’s Man Ozolua

Assistant Editor (Arts), The Nation newspaper, Ozolua Uhakheme, has emerged as one of the selected Nigerians that would be honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Department of Creative Arts, University of Lagos for his immense contributions to the development and growth of the Centre for Cultural Studies (now Department of Creative Arts) of the university on Wednesday, July 29.

A statement by the department said Uhakheme will be honoured alongside scholars such as Professors E.J Alagoa,  Laz Ekwueme, Akin Euba, Abayomi Barber, Dele Jegede, Sherifdeen Adetoro, A.V.E Mereni, Ebun Clark and Duro Oni. Others are late Prof Bode Osanyin, Demola Olayiwola, Engr Yemisi Shyllon, Dr Bruce Onobrakpeya, General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Dr. D.K. Olukoya, former Editor The Guardian On Sunday, Jahman Anikulapo, Chioma Okpara, Tajudeen Sowole and Tolu Lamidi.

The event, which will hold at the Creative Arts Theatre, Department of Creative Arts, near Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos by 1pm, is part of the department’s grand celebration tagged: Reunion and award ceremony.
