Former Super Falcons head coach Eucharia Uche has said she will be too glad to come back to the side’s top job.

The former Nigerian lethal striker remains the only woman to guide the side to win the Africa Women’s Championship (AWC) as well as campaign at FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Uche said the country has given her virtually everything and she will be ever willing to serve her in whatever capacity as professional coach.

“I have made known my interest for the Super Falcons job so any day, any time I’m called upon to serve in that capacity I will be glad to take up the assignment.

“Definitely, it will be my greatest joy to come back to coach the Super Falcons, I will consider it a call to serve one’s fatherland more, so a nation that has given me virtually everything.

“Falcons’ woes could be repaired. Falcons can be made great once again if given the chance to handle the side,” said the former Bayelsa Queens head coach to supersport.com.

Uche distanced herself from the reported campaign for the former Super Falcons duo, Ann Agumanu-Chiejine and Mercy Akide-Udoh for the top job.

“It’s a complete falsehood the report linked to me positioning the duo, Ann and Mercy, for the Falcons’ top job.

“The twosome is ably qualified for the job but I can’t remember ever granting anybody interview to that effect,” she said.

The seven-time African champions recently lost out to Equatorial Guinea in the race for the 2016 Rio Olympics and finished a distant fourth at the just concluded 2015 Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.
