Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) has reported Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), accusing the NFF of ‘failing to cooperate’.

In a letter to CAF, TFF absolved itself of any blame with regard to Nigeria, while the team is in Tanzania.

TFF President, Jamal Malinzi, speaking exclusively to, accused the Nigerian FA of leaving them in the dark regarding its itinerary.

“We are really disappointed with the actions from the Nigerian FA, which borders on disrespect to our federation. For starters, they have failed to respond to our inquiries about arrival and even keeping a secret the hotel they are staying.

“We view that such actions were done in bad faith since we are the hosts and yet we have no information about our visitors. In these days of insecurity, they are putting themselves in jeopardy since we can’t organise or secure their internal travel since they are not responding to us,” Malinzi told

“In the light of what has happened, we have written to CAF absolving ourselves of any issues that might crop up while Nigeria is in Tanzania since the team has flatly refused to heed our calls to provide information,” he added.

Meanwhile, President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has apologized to the Tanzanian Football Federation on what seems like a break of communication after arriving Dar es Salaam with the Nigerian delegation for today’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Taifa stars of Tanzania.

“We actually communicated the Federation about our itinerary but if they did not get it, we’re very sorry it was nothing intentional. Between the countries we’ve had a history of friendship and football will foster it as football does.
