Technician Jailed, As Court Frees Two Alleged Sex Workers

A 23-year-old technician, Ayodele Adeboye has been sentenced to two weeks imprisonment by an Abuja Magistrate Court for injuring a female sex worker at Dutse, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

Hope Adekole and Abigail Adeboye 22, convicted for joint act, assault and causing hurt, were however discharged by the court.

The Police Prosecutor, Kaura Arziki told the court that Supol Salihu Mohammed attached to Dutse Alhaji Police station arrested the accused for engaging in a free for all at Jabu village, Dutse Makaranta in Abuja.

He said the accused in the process, inflicted injuries on each other.

When the charges were read to the accused, they pleaded guilty and the two women, first and second accused were discharged by the Magistrate, Mohammed Kutigi accordingly.

The third accused was however sentenced to two weeks imprisonment with an option of N2, 000 fine for criminal assault and causing hurt, while he was discharged for joint act.
The court also ordered them to sign an undertaken to be of good for a year.
