It was a harvest of goals in the NPFL/Glo Premier League Week 8 which recorded 22 goals just as FC Taraba and Gabros United encounter in Jalingo produced six goals.

The teams, however, shared the spoil scoring three goals apiece. The visitors opened scoring in the first half before the homers levelled the scores at 1-1.

Also at the Warri Township Stadium, Wolves pummeled Nasarawa United by 4-1 to signal its intention to wrestle the league title this season with other top contenders.

At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu Rangers compounded the woes of embattled Heartland coach, Erasmus Onuh, with a lone goal victory. Onuh has been given a 5-match ultimatum and lost the first one.

However, league defending champions, Kano Pillars returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sharks at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The victory was a huge relief for the under fire Pillars manager, Okey Emordi, after the centre referee brought an end to the proceedings on the day.

At Lobi, the draw and winless streak of coach Austin Tenge continued as they were held to a goalless draw by El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in Makurdi.

The draw ensured the Makurdi side remained at the bottom of the league table even when Tenge was brought in to rescue the club from its many years of search for trophy.

Giwa FC again confirmed its season’s target of a continental ticket as it grabbed a vital point at Enyimba in a game that ended in stalemate.
