National Coordinator of Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) Ifeanyi Ubah, has joined Nigerians in hailing President –elect, Mohammadu Buhari for his dogged, persistent fight to occupy the presidential villa since 2003, saying his courageous, consistent effort should be subject of research work in universities in the near future.

Ubah, avowed supporter of incumbent President Jonathan, also urged all its members in the 36 States and Diaspora in accepting the outcome of the March 28 presidential election as the will of God and Nigerian electorate.

Addressing the press in Abuja on the outcome of the polls, Ubah said the NGO has no regrets whatsoever in supporting Jonathan whom he commended for conceding defeat even before the results were declared.

He said that the timely, statesmanlike act by President Jonathan  to toe the part of honour saved the country from the plunges and made nonsense of various  doomsday predictions.

By that singular act, Ubah said Jonathan has again proved right TAN’s slogan: “Thank you Nigerians for giving us Jonathan”.

Ubah therefore urged all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political leanings to emulate Jonathan by accepting result of the presidential poll in the interest of peace, progress and development of the country.

As a body, he said TAN would continue to focus on its primary task of employment generation, humanitarian activities and advocacy.

He said the NGO would watch from the sidelines to see what the newly elected administration has in stock for Nigerian youths, and urged Buhari to stick to his campaign promises to better the lot of Nigerians.

Ubah added that TAN would not hesitate to lend support to newly elected administration if invited to do so.

“Our primary goal is to stand with the president. We are committed to the growth and transformation of Nigeria. We would watch the newly elect administration and see what they have in stock for Nigerians when they come in; there were many campaign promises, we would urge the President-elect to keep to his promises that made Nigerians to vote for him.”, he said pointing out that TAN is open to support any initiative that is in harmony with ideals of the NGO.

Meanwhile, he said the NGO is looking at the credentials of the different gubernatorial and state assembly candidates to decide who to support in the April 11 elections.
