Sundowns Cancel Break For Enyimba … As Unuanel Joins Aba Side

Mamelodi Sundowns have ordered their players back in camp to start preparations for next Wednesday’s CAF Champions League Group B fixture against Enyimba.
Pitso Mosimane, Sundowns coach, had planned to allow the players time off to rest and recover from the exertions of their lengthy trip to Setif where they shocked the home side, Entente, 2-1 on Saturday.
The Brazilians travelled to Algeria for the game via Turkey and also embarked on a lengthy bus ride from Algiers to Setif.
But they have decided to abandon the rest plan in order to kick-start preparations in earnest for the game against the two- time winners of the competition, Enyimba.
Sundowns will hope to make it two wins out of two following their victory against Setif, while Enyimba will hope to bounce back from the disappointments of their 1-0 home loss to Zamalek last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Samson Unuanel, former Sunshine Stars coach, has joined the technical crew Enyimba.
Unuanel is expected to work alongside Coach Paul Aigbogun, who is understandably under pressure following Enyimba’s dip in form which leads to the 0-1 loss to Zamalek of Egypt in their first game in the 2016 CAF Champions League.
This will be Unuanel second spell with the Aba based side after rising from the rank of assistant coach to head coach during the 2009-10 season.
The former Kwara United manager has also coached teams like Prime FC, Ocean Boys and Niger Tornadoes in the past but his last job ended very early into this season as he was sacked by Sunshine Stars in March due to a poor start to the season.
