Stop them now

I was moved after watching the stabbing, slaughtering, stoning and burning of Nigerians and other immigrants in South Africa by South Africans. From the initial stage, I thought it was just the mere beating and threat; rather, I came to realize that the South Africans are not only beating but killing as well. However, after watching some of the videos posted on the internet, which was about the ongoing xenophobic assaults of the South Africans, I realized that it is a serious issue that needs the world’s attention.

My anger is that, the South African police and other security agencies in the country, are watching how these xenophobic attacks are happening but are not doing anything to prevent these attackers from carrying out more assaults.

I must blame South African Government for her failure to approach this issue (xenophobic attacks) from the very beginning and allowing it to escalate to this level of slaughtering humans like animals.

Even as I write now, the government of South Africa is only condemning the xenophobic art with words of mouth, instead of taking action that can put a halt to it completely.

Let me at this point call on the world leaders to collectively take decision that can quickly ends this ongoing chauvinism or racism in South Africa, and as well, do what can prevent any episode of such, in feature.
