A software implementation and custom software development firm, Soft Alliance and Resources Limited, has described the introduction of an Electronic payment system tagged “Revenue Invoicing Management System and Customer Portal” by the Nigerian Port Authority as a pragmatic move to promoting efficiency and transparency in the organization.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Tunde Badejo, who expressed his happiness while speaking with newsmen at the unveiling ceremony, said the platform would go a long way in assisting the agency in its quest to block leakages and drive the country’s revenue.

As a technology company that has rendered such foolproof service for states and corporate organizations like Lagos, Edo, Ekiti states and OANDO, the managing director said he was confident that  the agency has just created a check and balance platform that will boost transparency and simplify payment process for NPA customers and staff.

He said: “From any angle one chooses to look at it, the Revenue Invoicing Management System and Customer Portal will bring revenue to the country, block leakages and promote efficiency. Soft Alliance and Resources Limited is excited to work with NPA on this, having seen the vision long ago that the way to build a new Nigeria is through innovative ideas that will make us be part of a global revolution. As a people, we must support the clamour for change and buy into President Buhari’s developmental approach.”

Earlier, the Managing Director of NPA, Habib Abdullahi, had said that the authority embarked on it to further improve port business and make it attractive for port users.

According to him, “We are presenting the portal that are fully convergent and real time platforms for our processes, which will lower operational cost and shorten the time for documentation.”
