SME Operators Hold Monthly Training programme

The monthly training programme of the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Forum (NEF) tagged Entrepreneurship Development Programme will take place this weekend.

The venue of the training is the NEF Capacity Centre the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment FMIT&I, Training Hall, Old Federal Secretariat Area 1, Garki, Abuja.

The theme of the programme is “Starting and growing small business.

However, only NEF members can participate and the company must be 100 per cent Nigerian ownership..

Benefits of participating in the prgramme include access to friendly loans from the National Economy Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) (with a controlled interest rate ranging from N200, 000.00) to N100 million to start or grow a business.

The Nigeria Entrepreneurs Forum is a private sector driven initiative, which enjoys support from the public sector establishments.

The NEF, in collaboration with NERFUND in its desire to stimulate the Nigerian economy, is providing SME operators soft loans to its members nationwide. The phase one of the programme aims to support 50 micro industries in each state of the federation to establish or expand any of the following productive businesses in Nigeria in the following areas: maize flour production and packaging, corn chip production and packaging, garri processing and packaging, rice milling and packaging, baking and confectionaries production, fruit and citrus juice production.

The areas are also considered: feed mill production and packaging, palm kernel milling and processing, potato chip processing and packaging, plantain chip processing and packaging, popcorn production and packaging, groundnut oil milling and packaging, briquette production bottle and sachet water, processing, production and packaging candle production oil and gas products blending plants concrete, bricks, blocks, poles and pillar production plant pvc manufacturing plant lpg cylinders production, gas storing and filling, plants ,poultry production, fishery industry and fish processing.

Loans will also be giving for printing, ice block production, shoe and leather processing, ginger processing, soap and detergent production, cosmetics, cream and body lotion production and packaging, particle board and caminate production, saw mill and plywood processing, garment and textile production.
