Franklyn Howard has another opportunity to improve the fortunes of Shooting Stars Sporting Club (3SC) today as the Ibadan side hosts Kano Pillars at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

The match is a rescheduled Week 3 fixture which did not hold following Pillars CAF Champions League engagement it eventually lost.

However, 3SC goalkeeper, Kola Ige, said 3SC needs the three points to improve its rating on the league table.

Ige said his side has done good home work for the clash hoping that everything will turn out as planned today.

“We need the three points, but the fact that Pillars has lost a couple of matches will make the encounter difficult for both sides.

“We’ve trained very hard for the clash and we fervently pray everything turns out perfect for us on the match day (today).

“Our position is not good at the moment so we can’t afford to lose any game not even on the home ground.

“So we’re condemned to win no matter how tough Kano Pillars turn out to be in the encounter,” said Ige.

The newcomers are at the bottom of the 20-team table with four points from seven games with two matches at hand in the seven-week old Nigerian top flight.
