Senator-elect promises Ebonyi Central effective representation

Senator-elect for Ebonyi Central, Chief Obinna Ogba, has assured his constituents of effective representation and result oriented programmes at the National Assembly.

Ogba, who spoke to Daily Independent at his Nkalagu country home in the Ishielu Local Government area of the state after being declared winner of the election, thanked the people of the zone for finding him worthy to serve, and promised not to disappoint them in the scheme of things.

The Senator, who was elected to represent  Ebonyi Central  comprising Ikwo, Ishielu, Ezza South and Ezza North local government areas on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), urged his constituents to rally support for the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Dave Umahi, come April 11.

He stated in that last four years, he won the ticket of the party in the zone and was denied the opportunity, and that “this time around they tried and failed”, solicited support from all other party candidates to join him and uplift the senatorial district.

“My priority will be on youth empowerment. I will be accessible by opening a constituency office in the zone.

“I will be present in the House where all important matters would be discuss. I will not be a bench warmer in the House,” he said.

In a similar vein, Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chukwuma Nwazunku, has said his victory was for all the constituents, saying he would dedicate it to God almighty.

The Speaker, who was elected to represents the people of Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, promised to deliver dividend of democracy.
