THE Proprietor of Victory Group of Schools, Christian Olaniyan, has commended efforts of parents and guardians in giving their children qualitative education.
Olaninyan, who was speaking during the 40th anniversary, 14th graduation and prize giving, and award ceremony of Victory Home School, Ikeja, stressed that Nigerian parents put in their best to ensure that their wards receive education no matter the cost.

He, however, urged parents to spare more of their time to monitor the activities of their wards properly after school hours and during the holidays, as “an idle hand is the devil’s workshop”.
Tracing the history of the school since 1975 when it was established, he maintained that with the cooperation of parents, guardians and particularly the Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA), the school had contributed immensely in moral upbringing and educational advancement of Nigerian children.
Olaniyan stressed that the products of the school occupy prominent positions in the society and charged the out-going students to be good ambassadors of the institution like their predecessors, even as he counselled them to be focused.

He urged the ex-students as they would face many temptations and distractions even at their various tertiary institutions to be prayerful with strong determination in order to surmount them.

He stressed that was not easy to attain victory in life, adding that anyone aiming at excellence must imbibe certain virtues to achieve the best.
Prizes were given to the best students in various disciplines, and past students who had excelled in their professional career also received awards.
Olaniyan assured parents that the school would continue to maintain its leadership role in education development as one of the pioneer private primary schools in Ikeja.
