RTEAN Boss Kidnap By Gunmen

The Chairman of the Muslim Ansar ud deen Society Ijebu chapter Alhaji Olayinka Oshinkoya has been kidnapped.

He was said to be on his way to attend a meeting with the Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Commission in Abeokuta yesterday when he was abducted near Paramount FM Abeokuta, about half a kilometre to his destination. The incident occurred at 9.am.

According to his brother Abolore Olaitan Oshinkoya who was with him during the incident, the Islamic leader who is also a prominent leader of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) alighted to ease himself when three men alighted from an Honda “End of Discussion” car and ordered him at gunpoint to join them.

He stated that the vehicle had no registration number, adding that his abductors whisked him away without his mobile phones at gunpoint “and headed towards Sagamu.”

The younger Oshinkoya said they reported the incident to the Trade Fair Police Post,  Kobape, few metres away but were directed to the Ibara Police Division.

The family members of the victim later joined members of the Ansar-ud-deen Society at the Society’s Headquarters in Ijebu-ode to pray for his quick release
