Rivers’ Rerun: Soldiers Abducted Me – Kobani Alleges

Two weeks after the re-run elections in Rivers State, Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), Barrister  Kenneth Kobani, has stated that he was never kidnapped  but abducted by the Nigerian Army during the inconclusive election.

Kobani, who during the Easter holiday in Biara, Gokana Local Government Area of the State, said that the Nigerian Army has not told him the offence he committed to deserve such humiliation and embarrassment.

“I was not arrested; I was abducted by the Nigerian Army because they have not told me what was my offence. Why must one insist on the use of army? This is desperation.

“There are… court orders restricting the army from participation in the elections. They flouted those orders and came to supervise the rigging of the elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress, APC,” he noted. “Tell me, how can the Nigerian Army we are proud of, storme INEC office to shield the use of fake result sheets, and when you object to it, they abduct you?
