A Diaspora group, Enugu Hilltop Club Belgium has urged Nigerians to remember the needy and other less privileged persons in the society.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Hilltop Club, Chris Uwakwe made this appeal shortly after the group presented donations to Red Cross Mothers Babies Home Enugu, Mother of Christ Motherless Babies Home and Chesire Home Enugu.

Each of the benefiting homes got one bag of rice, 20 tubers of yam, a roll of toilet tissue, one carton of soap, two cartons of indomie and N10, 000 cash.
Uwakwe noted that giving was the best thing that anybody could do and prayed that God should touch the hearts of other well to do Nigerians so that they would assist the less privileged among them.
Uwakwe said apart from giving to the less privileged, the group plans to come home and establish something like an old people’s home to ensure that the aged were properly taken care of.
“Giving is the best thing that anybody can do. We pray that God should touch the lives of other people so that they would also donate to our brothers and sisters in these homes” he said.
On the strength of membership of the Club,Uwakwe said they were about 35 registered Enugu State indigenes in Belgium.
He however recounted the numerous challenges they were facing in Belgium including having residential permit.
Also speaking, the Treasurer of Hilltop Club, Chukwuma Igwesi recalled that the group has been donating to the less privileged in Enugu State for the past eight years and appealed to other privileged Nigerians to emulate such gesture.
