Employers of corps members in the public and private sectors have been urged not to reject any corps member deployed to the FCT and posted to them for their one year mandatory service.

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Engr. John Chukwu, who gave the advise yesterday at the closing ceremony for the 2015 Batch “A” Stream 11 orientation camp, said any act of rejection would amount to disservice to the nation.

Represented by Alhaji Salisu Hayat, Chukwu urged them to provide the corps members with the basic necessities to make them comfortable, even as he called on the area councils, traditional rulers and security agencies to take the corps members as their own children, assuring of the best from them in return.

He also charged the corps members to be of good conduct by positively touching lives of members of their host communities through mobilization of community youths towards meeting their needs, assuring them of maximum security.

Earlier, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Olanipekun Alao, had expressed optimism that the 2,500 corps members would give in their best to the growth and development of the FCT, having been adequately prepared within the three weeks intensive orientation training.
