Former champion, Rangers of Enugu, has promised to bounce back against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Sunday during one of the week 15 encounters across the country. It will be recalled that Rivers United defeated the league leaders 3-1 in Port Harcourt in one of the week 14 matches last Sunday. It was one result that was not taking lightly by the club fans after Coach Imama Amapakabo had earlier boasted of a good result against its host. Speaking to Independent on Thursday, the coach said his side has overcome the defeat against United, promising that Rangers would bounce back on Sunday against 3SC. “It was not the kind of result all of us wanted but that is football for you; it has not stopped our ambition this season, so we are not perturbed,” he said. “We will bounce back against Shooting Stars on Sunday. Our fans should not worry any longer about the result because it will never dampen our desire for the league title this season,” he said. The newly appointed Super Eagles assistant coach thanked the fans and the management for always staying by the side of the team, promising that they will deliver at the end of the season.
