Enugu Rangers International Chief Coach, Imama Amapakabo, will have to wait till the end of the first round of the ongoing season before the management will consider if he will be elevated to the post of Technical Adviser.

According to him, “Amapakabo for now is Rangers Chief Coach which has been his position since joining the club.

“The management will decide whether to elevate to the position of the Technical Adviser, at the end of the first round of this season. Management will have to assess him based on his performance with the remaining matches.”

The former Sharks of Port Harcourt coach, has won two, drew one and lost one since joining the team. He will lead Rangers against Kano Pillars today at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, and his fifth match on the saddle.

The match no doubt will be a titanic one giving the pedigree of both clubs in the league.

However, Rangers that won its Week 14 home clash against Sunshine Stars will be gunning for another second straight home win to enhance its hope of silverware at the end of the season.

In the same vein, Pillars would also want to get the maximum points if it’s Week 14 home draw against Dolphins is anything to go by. A good result would help them to keep hopes alive for the title race.
