President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to emulate international best practice by probing all those who have looted the treasury at different levels.

National Adviser to Man-O-War, Dr Basim Elumelu, gave the advice on Wednesday in Asaba, during a chat with Independent Newspapers.

He said it would be a way of sanitizing the political system and set a national agenda towards galvanizing all employers of labour for a harmonious economic development.

He stressed that what is needed now is re-orientation of the national psyche as well as economic, political and cultural re-orientation for a regenerated polity since 16 years after, PDP has plunged the nation into the worst form of slavery, poverty, hopelessness, insecurity and massive corruption.

“While President Goodluck Jonathan was privileged to have risen from grass to glory, his policies and programmes tilted towards parochialism, lopsidedness visible in his encouragement and pardoning of embezzlers, and looters of the nation’s economy with the outcome that today his administration is leaving a near empty treasury for the incoming government,’’ Elumelu pointed out.
