Emeka Okafor, Umuahia.

A former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress  (APC) Hon stanly Ohajuruka has flayed the South East geo-political zone for taking a straight jacket decision to vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives between 2007-2011 while reacting on the outcome of the presidential result to Saturday Independent in Umuahia  condemned the way and manner the people of South East denied Gen.Buhari of their votes in the zone.

“South East people voted for the Peoples Democratic Party without considering uncertainty. It is unfortunate that Ndigbo that are wise could put their eggs in one basket. With what has happened we shall find it difficult to secure good positions in the central government”.

Ohajuruka  however appealed to people of the South East to correct the wrongs of the presidential election by voting All Progressive Congress Governors to victory at the governorship/ House of Assembly election..

“INEC did not perform well in Abia as the wishes of the people did not reflect on the votes cast because of the alleged falsification of figure. I must disassociate the resident electoral commissioner Abia State Mrs. Okoh from the mess. She is a woman of integrity. All the electoral fraud were perpetrated by his officers in the field”.

“Already APC have started to mobilize Nigerians in preparations for the 11th April governorship and state assembly election with a view to winning all the elections”.

He lauded and congratulated the President Elect Gen. Muhammad Buhari for his land slide victory at the last concluded presidential election and enjoined PDP candidates who lost to join hands with APC to execute its purposeful agenda.
