Police Parades Four Over Ritual Killing In Ibadan

Four suspected ritualists with mutilated human body parts were on Tuesday paraded by the Oyo State Police Command at the Eleyele, Ibadan Headquarters of the Command. The State Commissioner of Police, ‘Leye Oyebade told journalists that the suspects were arrested in an uncompleted building at Owode area of Oyo town.

The Oyo CP said policemen raided a black spot where information was previously received that criminals usually gathered and there the suspects, who all disguised as prophets were nabbed and some human body parts were found in their possession.

He said the suspects confessed to the crime and one of the suspects, Odetunde Jacob, actually told the police that they had killed somebody (name not disclosed) at Ogbomoso area of the state.

Similarly, four men suspected for alleged involvement in fraudulent act were also paraded with the CP

saying that the suspects claimed that they were major distributors of Cadbury products in Ibadan.

The suspected fraudsters, who allegedly duped the complainant, Funke Lawal, a sum of N1.2m were consequently arrested at a shrine in Ile-Ife in Osun State where the police recovered some fake dollar and pounds sterling note valued at N2m.

Oyebade, who also paraded other six suspects for offences including theft of motorcycle and commercial vehicles reiterated that the command would not rest on its oars in reducing the crime rate within the state.
