Police Launch Manhunt For Kidnapped Octogenarian Farmer In Ekiti

Police authorities in Ekiti State have launched manhunt for the  gunmen who,kidnapped an octogenarian farmer Pa  Gabriel Oloro
Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alberto Adeyemi, who hinted this assured the victim would be released soon.

The kidnappers of the victim ,who hails from Ikere Ekiti have demanded a N40m ransom from the family .

The Octogenarian was kidnapped on January 20 while returning home from his farm by yet to be identified kidnappers.

A friend of the family told our correspondent on Tuesday that the father of a former chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area in Lagos, Mr. Julius Oloro, was with wife and two children when he was kidnapped.

“Baba was driving home in his Toyota Camry with his wife and two children arround 9.30 p.m when the  kidnappers barricaded the road. They dropped the two children and took him away with his wife.

The kidnappers later dropped the wife and returned the vehicle areound 2a.m to the house. They later contacted the family and demanded N40m ransom. The ransom was later reduced to N10m ransom.
