Police, German Firm Sign MoU On Security

The Nigeria Police Force and German Development Corporation (GIZ) at Abuja on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for greater synergy on security. Emmanuel Ojukwu, the Force Public Relations Officer, stated that that Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, signed on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force, while the country representative of GIZ, Dr Thomas Kirsch, signed on behalf of the German Corporation.

According to Ojukwu, German Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Michael Zenner, who led the delegation to Force Headquarters, promised continuous corporation of the German Government with the Nigeria Police Force.

His words: “The MoU among other things will advance the training and skill upgrade of police personnel, support police reforms and border security.”
