Police Declare Former Enugu Lawmaker Wanted For Alleged Forgery

The Enugu State Police Command has declared a former member of the State House of Assembly, Uche Morris Ekete wanted for alleged forgery.

Spokesman of the Command, Ebere Amaraizu made this disclosure in a press statement on Wednesday.

Amaraizu who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police, stated that he suspect was declared wanted for failing to appear in court to answer a case of forgey slammed against it.

The statement reads: “The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force wishes  to inform members of the public particularly good people of the State that One Ekete Uche Morris is wanted by the state police command in connection with the alleged case of Forgery against him .

“Ekete Uche Morris is said to be about 47years old,dark in complexion and about 6.1 feet tall from Umuanikeode Ibeagwa community in Enugu state.

“It was gathered that suspect  was arraigned to court on account of alleged forgery of document on 23/8/15 before chief magistrate Eko of Enugu East court 1 as reflected in charge no CME/179C/2015.

“It was further gathered that  following the alleged failure of the suspect to appear to answer to his alleged charge on the day given, resulted to the issuance of a warrant  against him by the court as reflected in CME/19/C/2015  on account of showing an act of intentional disrespectful to court by failing to appear before the court as an accused person having been duly informed about the appearance.

“To this end,the court directs the command through the warrant issued to bring forth the accused person before the law court” Amaraizu said.

He said the command requests that any one with useful information about the whereabouts and how the suspect could be traced to report to police station nearest to them for necessary action.
