‘Police Aborted My Plan To Celebrate Sallah With Robbery Proceeds’

On Wednesday, Musa Ali, 25, from Magama in Bauchi State, a member of robbery gang arrested by the police in the stat narrated how his dream to celebrate Sallah with proceeds from a robbery operation was aborted.

According to the suspect who spoke with our reporter, he regretted that he could not access his share from the planned sale of car his gang stole, unfortunately, they were arrested by the police and that put paid to his dream.

The suspect with his other gang members namely, Saleh Ahmed Bichi, 50, from Toro, and 55 years old Abdulazeez Gambo, from Magama and seven others now at large according to the police stormed the house of one Mohammed  Danazumi in Toro and stole his Peugeot 607 car.

Parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters on Tuesday, the Police Public  Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed said the suspects stormed Danazumi’s house  on 24th  of June 2015 at about 11 pm.

He said the suspects disarmed two private security guards in the house before robbing the victim.

According to the PPRO, the suspected criminals ran out of luck as discreet investigation by the police led to their arrests and recovery of the stolen unregistered 607 Peugeot car and the BMW they used in committing the crime.

The PPRO said that the case was under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to the court.
