The crisis rocking Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is far from over, even with the sack of Super Eagles Head coach, Stephen Keshi, late Saturday.

This is because those who ensured that Keshi lost his job ignominiously are back into their trenches plotting the sack of NFF president, Amaju Pinnick.

The plot to sack Pinnick is spearheaded by one of the candidates who failed in his bid to replace Aminu Maigari in the last NFF elections in Warri where Pinnick emerged as president. This candidate, who is a board member, has the backing of a former president of the NFF, who is still sulking his failure to win a second term.

A former NFF Technical Committee member, who is also a member of the board of the NFF, is also neck dip in the plot to sack Pinnick. This candidate, who played a prominent role in the Keshi saga, would have been named the General Secretary of the NFF if Maigari had returned.

His anger against Pinnick became worse when the NFF boss refused to name him as the Technical Committee chair, given him a less prominent committee.

Sources disclosed on Sunday that Keshi’s sack was fas- tracked by the sack of a senior security head by President Mohammadu Buhari last week.

The sacked security boss, we learnt, arm-twisted the NFF board into renewing Keshi’s contract for another two years last April. This security boss, we also learnt, equally played a prominent role in the emergence of Pinnick at the Warri elections, by preventing certain candidates from reaching the venue of the elections.

With the exit of the security boss, the hawks want to get their pound of flesh by ensuring that those who did not belong to their group are sent out of the football house.
