Pandemonium As Fire Outbreak Hits Stanbic IBTC Bank In Lagos

There was pandemonium on Thursday, March 10, 2016, when fire outbreak hit Stanbic IBTC Bank located at Gate Bus-Stop in Ipaja area of Lagos, where no fewer than three persons were reportedly injured and properties estimated at millions of naira lost to the inferno.
Independent gathered that the incident occurred about 3.40 pm, leading to customers, staffers of the bank and passers-by running helter-shelter for their dear lives.
Sources disclosed that the inferno began when a bus containing diesel parked within the premises of the bank mysteriously went up in flames.
Lagos police image maker, Dolapo Badmus, a superintendent of police, while confirming the incident on Thursday said only one person sustained injury during the inferno.
According to her, the unnamed person was rushed to a private hospital in Ipaja for urgent medical attention, even as she further disclosed that police officers from Ipaja Police Station, fire fighters and officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) arrived at the bank to remedy the situation.
