The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Michael Adeyemo in his first official assignment after the election of the Principal Officers pledged an harmonious working relationship with the State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The objective of such relationship according to the Speaker is towards ensuring that the State House of Assembly Service Commission is well positioned to achieve the objectives for its establishment.

He gave the pledge while receiving in his office members of the Oyo State House of Assembly Commission led by its Chairman, Tijani Jimoh who paid him a courtesy visit and said that both the House of Assembly and the Service Commission should collaborate and have a working relationship that would promote and enhance qualitative legislative duties capable of contributing to the overall development of Oyo State.

Adeyemo denounced the idea of deployment of officers from other agencies of government in the state rather than the Commission, to give the Assembly capable hands as its own staff that would be adequately trained and maintained by the legislative arm.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Commission, Jimoh congratulated the Speaker on his success at election as well as his subsequent elevation to the position of  Speaker in the state while promising the loyalty and the unflinching support of the Commission towards the success of the Speaker.

The Chairman also urged the Speaker to work at ensuring that the legislative salary structure is implemented in the State as it is already being enjoyed in some other states of the country.
