Otudeko, Dangote Group Awarded At Africa CEO

The Chief Executive of Honeywell Group, Oba Otudeko and Dangote Group have been awarded the CEO of theYear and African Company of the Year at the Africa CEO Forum held in Ivory Coast yesterday.

Also Chief Executive of Petro-Ivoire, Sebastien Kadio-Morokro was awarded Young CEO of the year. Receiving the award from Jay Ireland, CEO of General Electric Africa, Otudeko who dedicated his award to all his staff said “this prize is a reward for our commitment. Our future is bright and belongs to all of us.”

The Young CEO award was created this year and recognises the African CEO under 40 who leads an emblematic African company with high potential. Sebastien Kadio-Morokro while receiving his award welcomed the “encouraging signal for the youth in Côte d’Ivoire”. He was given the trophy by Mr. Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina, President of the African Development Bank.

The African Company of the Year awarded to Dangote Group, given by Mr. Amir Ben Yahmed, founder and president of the Africa CEO Forum, recognizes the company that achieved the most remarkable expansion in the continent in 2015.

The African Bank of the Year given to BGFI Bank recognises the group’s growth strategy and commitment to financing African companies, while the Private Equity Investor of the Year given to Emerging Capital Partners recognizes the African private equity firm which recorded the largest number of significant transactions in the last two years.

Also Heineken was at the forum awarded the prize for International Corporation of the year having achieved a strong growth in the continent over the last few years and maintains its leading position in 13 African countries.
