Former governor of Edo State Professor Oserheimen Osunbor has resigned his appointment as Chairman of Nigerian Law Reform Commission with effect from 31 March 2015. Osunbor recently decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former Edo State Governor in his resignation letter, a copy of which was obtained by Daily Independent, said he’s quitting the appointment for personal reasons. However, political observers says his resignation is not unconnected with his switch from PDP to APC.

In a well attended rally in Ekpoma last week Osunbor was formally adopted into the party by Governor Adams Oshiomhole along with over 2,000 of his supporters.

The APC won 21 out of 24 seats in Edo State House of Assembly at the last week Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.
