The ultimate was given after the club 3-0 loss at home to Sunshine Stars of Akure last Sunday. The management had met on Tuesday to review the club’s performance having lost two home matches, first to Abia Warriors and now Sunshine Stars. It said the loss to Sunshine was unacceptable.

The ultimatum starts this weekend as Heartland will be guests of Enugu Rangers in Week 8 fixtures billed for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

The club’s spokesman, Cajetan Nkwopara, revealed to the press after the management meeting that Onuh has been communicated on the latest development.

“The management has asked Coach Erasmus Onuh to pick 10 points from its next five games or face the consequences.

“The management is livid with the current performance of the team, and this forced it to make this decision,” Nkwopara said.

Heartland started this season on a good note as it recorded two away wins at 3SC and Kwara United.

Heartland has suffered two home defeats this season in the Premier League, and the club’s supporters are also livid over the club’s recent performances.
