Okowa Lauds PDP Leaders In Ika North East, South

The Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has lauded politicians in Ika North East and Ika South Local Government Areas for the high sense of commitment they have continued to exhibit, which he noted has engendered unity and peaceful coexistence among the two local government areas.

He gave the commendation during the week, at Boji Boji, Owa in Ika North East local government area during a meeting with political leaders from the two local government areas. He noted that the peace existing in the area was as a result of the deliberate resolve of the people to work in unity for the progress and development of the area.

While acknowledging their immense contribution to the growth and sustenance of the PDP, both at local and state levels, Senator Okowa, who was obviously elated with the leadership of the party in the area, reminded the gathering that his administration is for all Deltans, and reiterated his commitment to improving the lots of the state through quality and accountable leadership.

He called on Deltans to remain steadfast in support of the new administration in the state, saying that in spite of the current challenges occasioned by the glut in oil prices, the state government will ensure that, “our promise to our people are met, “even as he called for continued understanding and support.

The state governor expressed optimism his administration will go a long way in transforming the state, even as he assured of an open door administration that would impact on all Deltans.

Earlier, in their brief remarks, the Ika North East and Ika South Local Government Areas Chairmen, Chief Godwin Ogadi and Hon. Ralph Areh, appreciated party leaders and members in the area for their commitment to the party, and urged them not to relent in moving the party forward, as a new administration comes on stream.
