A Non-Governmental Organisation, Niger Delta Corporate Network (NDCN), has expressed support for the ongoing effort in the oil sector reform by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group, according to a statement, described the decision of President Buhari to scrutinise the oil sector as a welcome development.

It further stated that the decision to support the candidature of President Buhari in the 2015 general elections emanated from the confidence that Buhari stands the best position to tackle corruption which has dealt a deadly blow to the development of the country.

According to the statement by Executive Secretary, NDCN, Mr. Ebitimi Filatei, “Nigeria today is one of the least competitive nations because of the corruption component in doing business.

“This situation and the grave danger corruption poses to our progress and development as a nation informed the decision of the NDCN to endorse President Muhammadu Buhari in the run up to the 2015 election, which he convincingly won.”
