At least, 96 modern houses are being built for villagers at Itoku-Elewe along Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway, whose house had been pulled down to give way for the ultra modern housing estate christened ‘Three Hills’ Estate.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa made this known on Friday while briefing newsmen on programme of events of the state 40th anniversary celebrations.

According to Adeoluwa, the village which had 46 mud houses, was relocated by the government and villagers compensated with 3-bedroom flats.

Taking journalists on tour of the project near completion, however, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba Adedayo Adeneye, noted that though the state government counted only 46 rickety mud buildings in the community, Governor Amosun decided to compensate the villagers with modern houses with modern facilities.

There are facilities including water closets, pipe bore water, electricity, tarred road network, parking lot among others.

Each building contains twin 3-bedroom flats with tiled floors and provision was made for dinning.

Meanwhile, the SSG revealed that among 60 completed projects, 40 have been selected for opening by President Muhammadu Buhari who is expected to arrive the state on February 1.

No fewer than 11 former governors of the state would hold a special Exco Session with Governor Amosun on February 1.

Among the projects slated for opening are newly constructed roads and overhead bridges by the Amosun-led administration in the last five years in the three Senatorial districts of the state.
