Delta State Acting Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Edward Ofomona, has cautioned critics of the governorship candidate of the party in the just concluded election, Olorogun Otega Emerhor, to tread the path of peace rather than casting aspersion on him and other members of the party.

The APC chieftain, who was reacting to a paid advertorial in some newspapers, said, “The said advertorial is callous, capable of causing disunity and meant to assassinate the character of the governorship candidate of the party in the just concluded governorship election in the state”.

Ofomona advised the critics that the issues concerning the party should be handled with care, while warning that the name of the party should not be dragged to mud.

According to him, the party will not hesitate to sanction anyone trying to rubbish its name no matter how highly placed.

While describing the publication as callous, Ofomona noted that the governorship flag bearer has never at any time preached a campaign of calumny throughout his campaign.

Ofomona, therefore, called on the general public to “disregard the purported publication meant to destroy APC and its governorship flag bearer”.

He said Emerhor is the most qualified person for a ministerial position among the in the state, and debunked the alleged move to hire crowd to go on demonstration.
