Commissioner representing Ethiope West, Sapele, Okpe, Uvwie and Urhobo Ethnic Nationality of Warri on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Henry Ofa, has commended staff of the Uvwie Zonal Office of the commission for their dedication and commitment to duty.

Ofa, who was on a working visit to the Uvwie Zonal Office of DESOPADEC now under his mandate area, advised the staff to keep up the tempo by coming to work early each day and do their job effectively for which they are paid.

He promised that the temporary office accommodation would be rehabilitated pending when a permanent structure would be built for them like their counterparts in Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe who now work under a conducive atmosphere.

He told them that his visit was to know their challenges among others so that the commission would solve them accordingly.

Ofa expressed dismay over their poor working environment and the bad road leading to the office, which, he promised, would be included in the next budget for them to start working in a good environment like others.

He told the staff that DESOPADEC was working through the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who has been approving all projects to be executed in the oil bearing communities.

The commissioner told the staff, together with the coordinator of the Uvwie Office, Mr. Patrick Ogaga, that his visit to the office would be a continuous one.

He appealed to them to respect their leaders at the commission, including the chairman of the board.

He enjoined them to love one another which is the basis for them to get blessing from God.

The staff of the Uvwie office, including the coordinator, Mr. Patrick Ogaga, thanked the commissioner for the visit, assuring that they will corporate with the commission by discharging their duties effectively.
