Oilfield services company, Ocean Installer, said it has secured a contract for deep water umbilical, flowline and riser (UFR) installation work at the Total E&P Congo operated Moho Nord field, which is located off the coast of the Republic of Congo.

Ocean Installer said as part of the contract, it will also conduct project management, engineering and logistics activities, in addition to offshore work, noting that Total E&P Congo holds a 53.5 percent interest in the Moho Nord field, Chevron holds a 31.5 percent interest and the state-owned Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo holds a 15 percent interest.

Ocean Installer CEO, Steinar Riise, said while commenting on the contract win, “We are delighted to have been chosen for this job in a very competitive market and we are looking forward to cooperate with Total E&P Congo on this complex project. The award reflects our efforts over the last 12 months to bring our proven track record to the African market and validates our geographical expansion strategy.”
