Authorities of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have applauded Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, for putting an enduring legacy in the area of social infrastructure at the permanent site in the state.

Ekiti State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Tobias Ibe, gave the commendation while playing host to wife of the Governor, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, who was on a visit to the 2015 Batch ‘A’ corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Ise-Orun Ekiti.

Ibe, who was apparently making particular reference to the motorised borehole dug by the administration of Fayose during his first term in office in 2005 and the vehicle donated at the same period, said these were  great legacies that for a long time would always be appreciated by the management of the NYSC.

The NYSC boss solicited more intervention of the state government at the camp to put an end to inadequate accommodation problem confronting the corps members and camp officials.

“I must say we really appreciate this kind and uncommon gesture of His Excellency by coming to our aid always; like Oliver Twist ,we are still asking for more, Ibe said.

He stated that the management of the scheme in the state were able to put some measures which include installation of Close Circuit Camera (CCTV) as well as metal detector in place to enhance the security of lives of corps members posted to the state in the face of security challenges confronting the nation as a whole.

Ibe expressed appreciation Mrs for facilitating the payment of serving corps members’ state allowance that was left hanging by the past administration.

Responding, wife of the Governor, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, urged the corps members to conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors of the nation by shunning all forms of social vices during their stay in the state.

She advised them to key into the six point developmental objectives of her husband led administration which is focused on giving hope, succor and opportunity to youths and the entire people of the state, tasking them to maximise the multitude of opportunities the state present  them towards a prosperous future.

The Governor’s wife later made a cash donation to the management for the general upkeep of the corps members.
